New folk-soul-pop artist munnin explores the journey of grief in her latest single “Alintana.”

munnin composed her sophomore offering, which gives depth to dealing with loss and explores how grief can lead one to find peace and healing.

“For the memories and sorrows that come with the loss of people, parts of yourself, unfulfilled dreams, imagined futures that may never be, and the immeasurable what-ifs in between. Here’s to the countless stories left untold, thoughts unheard, and pain unseen,” she said in an Instagram post.

The new song released under Tarsier Records blends orchestral elements with chamber-pop and contemporary folk sounds.

Before “Alintana,” the budding singer-songwriter-visual artist released her debut single “Sandali Lang,” which is about the need to pause and reflect in the middle of life’s uncertainties.

Among muninn’s musical influences are Nai Palm, ruru, Ichiko Aoba, Patrick Watson, Paul Mccartney, Hiatus Kaiyote, Jiwoo, Matt Maltese, Astrud Gilberto, Sunset Rollercoaster, Khruangbin, and Rhye.
