Rising Kapamilya artist Drei Sugay marks the new year with his newly dropped self-penned single “Pano Naman Ako,” his take on prioritizing self-love over unrequited love.

The single completes the former “Idol Philippines” season 2 contestant’s song trilogy, which includes recent song releases “idk anymore” and “Wag Na Lang.”

“idk anymore” released last August is about finding a sense of purpose in the world while “Wag Na Lang,” which was released last October,” is about finding someone who moves a lover to power through.

“Pano Naman Ako” was arranged by Tommy Katigbak and produced by Drei himself along with StarPop label head Roque “Rox” Santos.

Prior to joining “Idol Philippines,” Drei also made it to “The Voice Teens” season 2, under his coach, Apl de Ap. The singer-songwriter starred as Fonzi in PETA’s “Tabing-Ilog: The Musical” which held shows in 2023 and 2024.
